Les Juifs de Roumanie, est un travail documentaire réalisé entre 2001 et 2003. Il retrace la vie d’une communauté en train de disparaître et revint sur l’histoire méconnue de la déportation des Juifs en Roumanie. Ce documentaire photographique est un voyage permanent entre passé et présent, entre mémoire et histoire, entre volontés individuelles et aspirations collectives, à la recherche d’une reconnaissance de la spécificité roumaine de la destruction des Juifs.
"The Jews in Romania" is a report I did between 2001 and 2003. It retraces the life of the slowly disappearing Romanian Jewish community as well as considering the unknown history of the deportation of Jews in Romania. The photos are a voyage between past and present, memory and history, between individual will and collective destiny, a search for recognition of the story of the Romanian Jews.
