With Liberty Theater, the photographs taken by Rosalind Fox Solomon in the south of the United States between the 70’s and the 80’s are gathered in the same book for the first time. These images relay the context of social and emotional difficulties inherited from previous generations: a world divided into classes and genders, a manifested or implicit racism, notions of freedom in opposition, and a latent violence.
