Women have the place of honour in this edition of the famous album “100 photographies pour la liberté de la presse” published by Reporters Sans Frontières (Reporters Without Borders) devoted to the forty-year career of an exceptional photojournalist : Françoise Huguier. A source of inspiration for an entire generation, the French photographer mixed with and photographed the greatest, from Sofia Coppola to Michel Leiris, by way of Jean-Paul Gaultier and Akira Kurosawa. She has opened her archives for us, from Siberia to the catwalks, from her portraits of the famous to a return on her childhood marked by her captivity in Indochina. A special edition, a special record. In the media, where are the women? A rising generation of female reporters is changing the game with intelligence and conviction. In the news-rooms as in the pages of newspapers, they are shaping a better place for the other half of humanity. Françoise Huguier is a perfect ambassador.
