For forty years, Action contre la Faim has been placing people at the heart of its action. The association is fighting to give back the capacity to lead their lives to those who suffer, to enjoy their dignity and their autonomy. To embody this ambition, Action contre la Faim has offered people it’s supporting to witness, through the image, by organizing photographic workshops in four countries where the association operates. To enable them to show their own reality through dialogue with reporter photographer Guillaume Binet, to express their anger and their joy, their fears and their hopes. Photography as a way to place the person at the center. To allow him to really say ”What I see”.

Guillaume Binet, co-founder and manager of the MYOP agency, former student of the Ecole nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs, is a photojournalist who covered the Arab Spring as well as several conflicts in the Middle East and Africa. He created and directed the La Petite Poule Noire gallery (Paris) during five years, dedicated to documentary photography. Among others, his work was awarded by two POYis (Pictures of the Year International) in 2012. He collaborates with French and international press as well as with humanitarian organizations. He also published The Writers’ America. Road trip, together with Pauline Guéna (Grand Prize of the Readers of Elle of 2015) as well as the collective book Politique Paillettes on the 2017 presidential campaign.
