Dans sa troisième édition, la Biennale de la Photographie Documentaire Argentine, met l’accent sur plus de vingt-cinq des plus importants photographes et rédacteurs en chef de six pays, préoccupés par le développement d’une photographie engagée. Ils seront les protagonistes d’expositions, de conférences, projections, ateliers, lectures des books, discussions et, fondamentalement, la rencontre avec de nombreux autres photographes, des étudiants et des photographes amateurs qui viennent pour partager leurs préoccupations et les productions photographiques, dans les nuits du printemps, autour d’un verre de vin et d’empanadas.

Au fil du temps le festival a mûri, avec la décision de ratifier cet espace transversal  de camaraderie, où est possible d’échanger des expériences à une petite échelle, et où la plupart des photographes de renom sont à la disposition de ceux qui admirent leur travail, pour réfléchir ensemble.

Cette échéance a conduit à la nécessité de construire un cadre institutionnel pour consolider ce projet: à cette fin est né La Fondation Infoto, qui va maintenant prendre en charge l’organisation du festival, toujours avec le soutien du Ministère de la Culture et de l’Université Nationale de Tucumán, institutions avec lesquelles nous partageons cette réalité, même quand elle n’était qu’un rêve.

Une fois de plus, la "Casa de Tucumán" des manuels scolaires, ce symbole de la libération et de l’indépendance du pays, nous ouvrira ses portes pour inaugurer cet événement, qui parle de l’engagement de photographes documentalistes avec leur réalité et leur temps.

This development  has led to the necessity of building an institutional framework to consolidate the project: to this end Infoto Foundation was born which will now take charge of organizing the festival, always with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the National University of Tucuman, institutions with whom we share this reality even when it was only a dream.

Once again, the "Casa de Tucumán" (museum), symbol of liberation and independence of the country, will open its doors to inaugurate this event which speaks to the commitment and reality of documentary photographers.

  En su tercera edición, la Bienal Argentina de Fotografía Documental Argentina concentra a más de veinticinco de los más importantes fotógrafos y editores de seis países, preocupados por el desarrollo de una fotografía comprometida. Ellos serán los protagonistas de exposiciones, conferencias, proyecciones, talleres, revisiones de portfolios, discusiones y -fundamentalmente- del encuentro con muchos otros fotógrafos, con estudiantes y aficionados que se acercan a compartir sus producciones fotográficas y sus inquietudes, matizadas con noches de luna, vino y empanadas.

Este festival fue madurando con el correr del tiempo y ratificando la decisión de conformar este espacio horizontal, de camaradería, donde se pueden intercambiar experiencias en una escala pequeña, real, donde los más renombrados fotógrafos están al alcance de quienes admiran su obra, para reflexionar sobre lo que estamos produciendo y lo que pasa con nuestra actividad por estos días.

De esta madurez derivó la necesidad de conformar un marco institucional adecuado para consolidar este proyecto: con este fin nació la Fundación Infoto, que a partir de ahora toma en sus manos la organización del festival, siempre con el aapoyo del Ente Cultural de Tucumán y de la Secretaría de Extensión de la Universidad Nacional de Tucumán, instituciones con las cuales compartimos esta realidad desde que sólo era un sueño.

Una vez más, la "Casita de Tucumán" de los libros escolares, ese símbolo de liberación e independencia, nos abrirá sus puertas para que inauguremos desde allí nuestro evento que habla sobre el compromiso de los fotodocumentalistas con su realidad y su tiempo.

El Tucumán primaveral de los azahares los recibe con los brazos abiertos a partir del 8 de octubre y hasta el 9 de noviembre para disfrutar de esta reunión de amantes del fotodocumentalismo con mayúsculas. Bienvenidos.
