L’originalité de la 3ème édition est l’engagement que nous avons demandé à 4 artistes photographes : s’investir sur un projet social, culturel ou politique, en réalisant leur travail au sein d’associations partenaires pour montrer que c’est aussi à notre porte, en ville, que l’engagement peut exister et en rendre compte.
 
Des expositions rendrent compte de ce travail «in situ» : Bruno Barjhoux sur la réalisation d’une Maison de l’enfance dans la ville :choix politique que d’investir dans l’enfance, Jeff Lanet «nouveau regard sur le handicap» et sa place dans la ville, Louise Oligny, «femmes d’ici et d’ailleurs», l’intégration des femmes d’ailleurs dans un centre social : regard heureux, Antoine Katarzynski «créteil : un maire engagé», qui plus que l’élu s’engage sur la ville ?
A ces quatre expositions réalisées sur la ville nous associons des images d’ailleurs et tellement semblables : Corinne Kortchinsky, et ses écoles à travers le monde, Jean-Louis Courtinat avec le Foyer Faugeras, Patrick Bard et le féminicide du Guatémala, Gérald Bloncourt 50 ans d’engagement auprès des ouvriers.
D’autres regards sur le monde : La Roumanie actuelle avec Camille Millerand, Les femmes du Mali de Frédérique Jouval, le collectif vietnam Dioxine dénoncant l’emploi de l’agent orange, Anthony Berthaud un autre regard sur les émigrés, Les Rroms de Marcel Marquès, un regard artistique sur la guerre de Pauline Fouché, le collectif Ara théâtre pour le sida en afrique, Marie Demunter et la condition des agriculteurs français, Sonia Blin de la condition des ouvriers sur les chantiers de la ville.
Toutes ces images réparties sur la ville donnent à tous l’envie de s’interroger sur ce qu’est l’engagement des photographes qui dans des conditions de vie souvent précaires continuent à rendre compte de ce que le monde donne à voir.Les débats ouverts à tous offrirons à chacun l’opportunité de s’exprimer sur la place de l’engagement dans notre société et ce que unis nous pourrions changer.
THE THIRD PHOTOGRAPHIC ENCOUNTER OF CRETEIL« Committed photography»The photographers who have agreed to participate in this adventure are all working on the commitment: artistically socially or politically speaking. Their opinions have to be taken into consideration as well.
The originality of the 3rd edition consists in the commitment we asked to 4 photographers: to invest themselves in a social, cultural or political project, by making their work within partner associations in order to show that commitment can be made right outside our door too.      
The exhibitions illustrating the project are: “In situ” by Bruno Barjhoux, the realization of a Childhood house in the city, and therefore the political choice of investing in children; Jeff Lanet “New perspective on disability” and its role in the city; Louise Oligny, “Women here and elsewhere”, a happy glance about the integration of women around a community center; Antoine Katarzynski “Créteil: a major committed”: who could be more committed than the major of the town? In these four exhibitions realized in the city of Créteil we combine completely different images with many aspects in common: Corinne Kortchinsky, with her schools around the world; Jean-Louis Courtinat and the home for the disabled of Faugeras; Patrick Bard and its work on the Feminicide in Guatemala; Gerald Bloncourt and his 50 years commitment for the worker class.
Other views of the world: Romania today with Camille Millerand; the women of Mali with Frédérique Jouval; The Vietnam Dioxin Collective denouncing the use of Agent Orange; Anthony Berthaud, another look at the immigrants; the Tziganes of Marcel Marques; an artistic overlook on the war by Pauline Fouche; the Ara theater group for AIDS in Africa; Mary Demunter and the condition of French farmers; Sonia Blin of the condition of workers on construction sites in the city.
All these images are spread across the city to create into people the desire to ask what the commitment of photographers in those often precarious living conditions is, and what pushes them to continue to describe what happens around us. The debates are open in order to offer to everyone the opportunity to comment on the role of commitment in our society and the things we can change if we remain united.
