Over three years, Isabelle Detournay photographed the daily lives of students of the Institut des Arts et Métiers in Brussels, training in mechanics. Behind closed doors, she subtly captured the postures, looks, times of deep concentration or lapses in concentration and moments of doubt faced by these young people, mostly from immigrant backgrounds, in a society shaken by questions of identity and lack of access to employment.
