The Chibanis La Question exhibition developed by the family of Luc Jennepin, Sophie Pourquié and their daughter Mona, opens our eyes to those we no longer look at, these wandering souls of hearthless homes. Portraits illuminated by the dignity of those who, after a life of labor, are now dying out in precariousness, indifference and public amnesia.

The portraits by Luc Jennepin shed light on this side of the history of immigration and pay tribute to these men through the striking force of the photographs. If the theme of the Chibanis obviously has a strong social component and a dramatic character, the Montpellier photographer born in Algiers in 1970 has chosen to present a valorized image of these men and women, far from the miserability where they are often confined.
