When a factory is abandoned, so are its employees and inhabitants. They are left there, in the middle of objects strewn over there ground, stuck in these spaces which are either empty or filled with useless rubbish… These poor souls end up wandering like ghosts. At the time where these relocations have become customary, “waste me” investigates the disposability of these factories and their workers. What becomes of them in these wastelands? The morbid nature of certain images reminds us of the sad fact that certain employees prefer to commit suicide rather than leave their factory or that the end of their jobs also signifies a social death for them.
