Russia: journalism under attack

This post is also available in: Anglais

Russia is one of the most dangerous countries for journalists, the third most dangerous place in the world in the number of journalists killed in the last ten years while doing their job, after Iraq and Algeria. Russian journalists mainly become victims of contract murders. Eighteen journalists have been slain in Russia since 2000, with all but one case unsolved. Many more have been attacked, threatened or imprisoned.
