The small village of Rosia Montana, lost in the Romanian Carpathians, is threatened by a project of gold extraction which will become the most important open pit in Europe.
It’s inhabitants join together forming the Alburnus Maior association to fight against this 450 million dollars project, against the use of cyanide to extract the gold and the destruction of their village.

Le petit village de Rosia Montana, perdu dans les Carpathes roumaines est menacé par un projet d’extraction d’or et par la réalisation de la plus grande carrière d’exploitation à ciel ouvert d’Europe.
Les villageois regroupés au sein de l’association Alburnus Maior luttent contre la réalisation de ce projet industriel de 450 millions de dollars, contre l’usage du cyanure pour récuper l’or et contre la destruction de leur village.
