The Zen neighborhood of Palermo is one of the most deprived suburb of the entire Italy. It has the appearance of a ghetto, the spatial dimensions seem to increase the social exclusion of the people living in the district. Being born in the Zen suburbs means being in a trap with no way out, without access to the labor market. People living in the neighborhood suffers the absolute lack of essential services and the inaction of the state institutions.
