The dockyard of Perama is located 20 kilometers west of Athens-Greece. The prevailing circumstances are very difficult for each employee. Many of them complain about poor safety standards. Τhere have been many fatalities but after a while, there are all forgotten. In the past, it was the busiest dockyard in Greece. Unfortunatelly, nowadays there is a large unemployment problem. Dozens of men wait every morning for a chance to work. They say that the employers send their ships to Turkey where the maintenance of ships is more economical for them.
