Colombian refugees in Ecuador

En Équateur, se trouve le plus important groupe de réfugiés de toute l’Amérique latine, il est composé de citoyens colombiens qui ont fui leur pays en raison du conflit sans fin, qui l’affecte .Nous parlons de flux continus de petits groupes de personnes, traversant la frontière et qui sont à la merci des groupes des FARC, de l’armée colombienne régulière et des groupes paramilitaires. En Equateur, il n’y a pas de camps de réfugiés, mais par l’aide apportée par le HCR (Haut Commissariat des Nations Unies pour les réfugiés), et par les partenaires des ONG, une série d’interventions a été improvisée, afin d’aider et d’intégrer ces personnes dans la vie civile équatorienne : du règlement de leur statut de réfugié à l’aide pour obtenir un emploi, de celui d’obtenir les crédits pour lancer des micro-entreprises…

 

 

 

 

In Ecuador we find the biggest refugees group of the whole Latin America, it is composed by Colombian citizens who have ran away from their country because of the neverending conflict, which is affecting their homeland. We are speaking about continuous flows of small groups of people, crossing the wide border without a stable control, moreover a border which is at the mercy of the FARC groups, of the regular Colombian army and of the paramilitary groups. In Ecuador there are no refugees camps but, by the help given by the UNHCR (UN High Commission for Refugees), and by the partners NGO’s, a series of interventions has been improvised, in order to house, help and integrate these people in the ecuadorian civil life, from the refugee status settlement to the help to achieve a job and beside that to get the credits to start microenterprises. of young age… the same as the ecuadorians
