Adampson Street Children

A group of about 20 boys live around the Bé market in Lomé. They are street children aged from 10 to 20. They wander the streets as there is always something to eat or do to earn a little bit of money. And there is Dédé, a kind woman in her forties who welcomes the children into her home so they can wash, eat, have a chat or even sleep. During 9 months in 2000, the kids took colour pictures of themselves as I took black and white ones, trying to document the way they live.
