2010, une édition sur le thème de la Biodiversité.

Des peuples vivant en harmonie avec leur milieu naturel, certains subissant le contrecoup d’une modernisation effrénée, d’autres enfin disparaissant sous le joug d’un monde qui a rompu l’équilibre sacré entre l’Homme et la Nature, autant de sujets mis en lumière à La Gacilly par les plus grandes signatures photographiques :

Jacques Rocher, créateur du Festival et entrepreneur particulièrement attentif à la protection de la nature, en est convaincu : "S’interroger sur la biodiversité est probablement le meilleur moyen de réconcilier l’Homme et la Nature". Et la programmation du Festival a toujours été fidèle à son engagement pour la préservation de notre planète. Mettant en scène des photographes au coeur de l’actualité écologique, il apparaît en sept ans comme un événement incontournable, qui contribue à la prise de conscience des enjeux de la biodiversité par le grand public.   The aim of the exhibition is to raise awareness, yet also to inspire, revealing the beauty and captivating nature of our planet, all in the name of encouraging change.

The theme of the 2010 exhibition is Biodiversity.

From people living in harmony among their natural surroundings, to those subjected to increasing modernisation, to others on the point of disappearance thanks a world which constantly disturbs the sacred equilibrium between man and nature; such are the subjects on show at La Gacilly in the works of some of the world’s most renowned photographers:

 Jacques Rocher, the organiser of the festival who is particularly committed to the protection of the natural world, is convinced: “To question biodiversity is probably the best way to reconcile Man and Nature.”  The festival’s programme remains faithful to his interest in protecting our planet.  Showing the works of photographers who work at the heart of today’s ecological concerns, in seven years it has already become an event that cannot be ignored, heightening public awareness of biodiversity issues.
