La Devinière est un centre de psychothérapie institutionnelle fondé par Michel Hocq qui a ouvert ses portes en 1976 à Farciennes, en accueillant 19 enfants réputés schizophrènes et incurables. 30 ans plus tard, ces enfants devenus adultes vivent toujours à la Devinière, un lieu familier où ils se sentent chez eux. Un des derniers centres sans grilles, ni chimies, né du mouvement de l’anti-psychiatrie qui soignent les maladies mentales des enfants et des adultes par des traitements thérapeutiques fondés sur la réhabilitation et l’émancipation des personnes. La Devinière is a psychotherapy centre founded by Michel Hocq which opened in 1976 in Farciennes, welcoming 19 “incurable” schizophrenic children.  Thirty years later, these children, now adults, still live there, in a familiar place where they feel at home.  One of the last centres without barred windows or drugs, born from the anti-psychiatric movement which cares for mental diseases using therapeutic treatments.
